We exist to build bridges to see the broken made whole in Christ.

Through the grace and power of God,

we will become a regional church in Eastern Williamson County,

creating spiritual transformation in our communities.

We seek to encounter God through worship and Bible Study.  We offer times of family worship as well as age appropriate ministries at various times throughout the week to help you encounter God in ways that reveal Himself to you more everyday.

Connecting with others is key to growing in your relationship with Christ.  We all need people to laugh with, cry on their shoulder, help in times of need and just do life together.  Through our small group ministry, we hope that you can connect with others and experience true biblical fellowship with them.

Impact the World.  Jesus has called us to make disciples unto the ends of the earth.  Through ministries here at home to across the globe, we seek to provide opportunities for families to impact the world they live in.

We believe in Jesus Christ as God's only Son who died on the cross for our sins and rose again to give life.  We invite people to discover salvation through Jesus.  We believe in the Bible as God's Word and use it as a guide for life.  We believe in the church as the body of Christ and seek to worship, serve, minister, and grow as followers of Jesus Christ.

1882- Opened our doors for the first time

First Baptist Church of Taylor was founded in 1882 and has been a positive spiritual presence in the city of Taylor for 135 years. We began with a core of 9 Christ followers who built the first ministry center at 6th and Fowzer in 1888.  Ten years later, however, the building burned to the ground. The church did not falter, but instead rose up and built a new facility one year later. Years later, we purchased land at 7th and Davis, our current location, to build once more. The Great Depression gripped our nation and stalled the building plans. But again, FBC Taylor rose up and continued its mission.

1945- Current location completed

Our present location was completed in 1945 and has been our home for 70 years.  During this season, God has provided and many lives have been changed in Taylor and beyond.  We have been truly blessed to call "The Red Brick Church" at 701 Davis St. our home.

2016- Rise Up campaign and groundbreaking

The people of First Baptist Taylor recognized that our current home could no longer support the ministry needs of our area.  With that in mind, a capital campaign began and ground was broken on a new ministry center.  With land previously purchased and room to grow, we will be able to carry out the mission and vision that God has given us.

2018- Relocation to 2500 Mallard Lane

In early 2018, First Baptist Taylor will begin a new season of ministry at a new location.  We will be able to continue to carry out our mission of building bridges to see the broken made whole in Christ through our new ministry center.  We hope to use this new location as a training ground to send those God has called throughout Eastern Williamson County and beyond.
